This PDF illustrates what pork cuts you would put in your freezer from your share of pork.
This is based on a whole share. For a 1/2 share you would split these numbers in half.
This report illustrates what pastured pork cuts are in the US per month.
Please reach us at if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Our pricing is based off of the low end of the USDA Pasture Raised Pork Report. https://www.ams.usda.gov/mnreports/lsmnprpork.pdf
Our price is $4.50 per pound dressed weight. Our target dressed weight for a whole hog is 220#.
So at 220# that's $990.00 you pay us. Then the butcher costs are usually between $1.50 - $2.50 per #, but very dependent on your selections of smoked and cured meats from the butcher.
( bacon, sausage, hams)
If your choices are on the higher end at $2.50 # that's $550 to the butcher.
On average a whole hog could cost around $1540 and a half around $770.
All of these prices are based off average weights and are not quoted prices, but should help you budget to fill your freezer with delicious healthy pastured Pork!
We can also try to select smaller or larger sized hogs for your order to help you hit a budgeted price.
Yes, we have a designated area at the Farm for pick up, if your buying USDA inspected cuts of our Pastured Pork or our Free Range Broiler chicken... If your buying a pork share ( half or whole hog ) you need to pick up your pork from the butcher. Check our website or social media for updates on availability of USDA inspected cuts.
